A number of factors influenced my decision to go into medicine. They included my Christian upbringing, my interest in science, my desire to have a positive impact and my parents’ strong work ethic. My older brother also became a doctor.

As a hospitalist, I am responsible for coordinating and caring for patients while they are hospitalized. It is my goal is to help patients understand their diseases so they can take care of their health. I am board certified and have a special clinical interest in diabetes.

Hospitalists are available in-house 24 hours a day to respond to acute issues and direct all diagnostic treatments and processes during a hospital stay.

In my free time, I enjoy dragon boating, skiing, camping, woodworking, cooking and reading history. My wife and I have seven children."
