Sheboygan Women's Health Joins Prevea Health
Sheboygan women can now benefit from Prevea's specialized services
Sheboygan Women's Health, SC, has joined Prevea Health, a multi-specialty clinic based in Green Bay. With this agreement, Sheboygan area women now have access to 21 additional specialists in women's care.
"This is an exciting venture for Prevea Health, the physicians and staff at Sheboygan Women's Health and especially the residents of Sheboygan," explains Prevea President and CEO Richard Rolston, MD, FAAP. "Patients in Sheboygan can continue their care with the wonderful providers at Sheboygan Women's Health and will now have better access to the physicians within Prevea's multi-specialty group practice, including the only physician specializing in gynecologic cancer care in Northeast Wisconsin."
Eight employees, one nurse practitioner and three board-certified physicians—Jennifer L. Brenton, MD, Craig L. Heins, MD, and Clifford G. Martin, MD—practice at the clinic now named Prevea Sheboygan Women's Care. Their office will remain at 1621 North Taylor Drive, Suite 300, on the St. Nicholas Hospital campus in Sheboygan.
"It was a natural fit for Sheboygan Women's Health, SC, to join Prevea Health given its mission of caring for people with passion, pride and respect," says Cliff Martin, MD, who founded Sheboygan Women's Health in 1990.
Mary Brasseaux, CEO of St. Nicholas Hospital, agrees, "This is the next step in enhancing the relationship between our Hospital Sisters Health System facilities in Green Bay and Sheboygan. I believe this will lead to additional great opportunities."
Because of its location, Sheboygan Women's Health had a long-standing and close relationship with St. Nicholas Hospital—an affiliate of the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) based in Springfield, IL. HSHS also owns and operates St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay.
Prevea Sheboygan Women's Care patients will not experience any changes. They can continue care with their physician, visit the same office and keep the same insurance. "The only change is greater access to more physicians when you need them," says Dr. Rolston.
Prevea offers specialized women's services including breast health, gynecology, cancer care, obstetrics, behavioral care, aesthetics, plastic surgery and urology.
The appointment line for Prevea Sheboygan Women's Care will remain the same at (920) 458-4419.
Dr. Heins and nurse practitioner Dawn Baarendse also see patients one half-day a week at 515 E. Mill Street in Plymouth. Their appointment line is (920) 892-4322.
