Family History

To improve my heart health, I walk at least 30 minutes each night and try to eat healthier. It is important for me considering both my maternal and paternal sides of my family have heart disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

 

One of my grandmothers died of a heart attack, the other a stroke, and my uncle has had numerous bypasses. It was also just this past winter that we found out that my dad had clogged arteries, but was lucky enough that his heart developed an alternate route to pump his blood! It's important for me to care for my heart now to prevent disease in the future.
