What you can do to avoid osteoporosis
- Stop smoking
- Limit alcohol consumption
- Get adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D from the food you eat
- Exercise

- Think you have a broken bone
- Notice a deformity after a fall
- Have sudden, severe pain when bearing weight
- Trouble moving part of your body
- You want to discuss your risk of developing osteoporosis
