SPARQ Training
Teenage athletes have the opportunity to see how their physical abilities compare with other athletes around the country through the nationally recognized SPARQ program. Athletes 13 to 18 years old in basketball, football, soccer, track and field, or any other sport can receive a SPARQ rating from a member of the Prevea Sports Medicine Team.
Prevea trainers will use the results of five tests, which are combined into a single score, to help gauge an athlete's training, identify weaknesses and develop strengths. Athletes learn their score immediately so they can compare their results to others in the nation.
The tests measure an athlete's Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness - the five building blocks of superior athletics. The SPARQ program is also used at the Nike Football Training Camp and by many universities and colleges.
