I believe that peoples’ life experiences shape our lives. I went into healthcare after my mother had a terminal illness; I was touch by the impact her caregivers had on her life. After my initial nursing degree, I worked in a cardiac ICU and loved the experience I gained there. But after awhile, I found myself wanting to move on and try to prevent people from ending up there. As a nurse practitioner, my goal is to help people be as healthy as they can be. I believe that working with people is a team effort, and that each individual is the most important part of their team. I strive to make people realize the beneficial effect their positive lifestyle choices can make on their lives, and try to identify and treat problems that heredity, aging and bad lifestyle can create. Away from work, I enjoy gardening, traveling, reading, almost all sports, and spending time with my husband and 2 children.
