I decided to go into medicine because I truly wanted to help people. I wanted to look back on my life and say I made a difference. Internal medicine allows me to treat the “whole” patient and not just a part. As far as my approach to patient care, I believe the expression “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” holds true. There are so many lifestyle things people can do to prevent disease and medical problems. While I enjoy all areas of internal medicine, I do have a special interest in heart disease and diabetes. Also, our practice is unique in this area of Wisconsin because of the adult cystic fibrosis care we provide. When coming in for a visit, I would encourage patients to let us know in advance if there are multiple concerns so that we can schedule enough time to properly address all of the patient's needs. I am married with three children. My wife is very involved with her church and is a Girl Scout leader. Together we are trying to teach our children the importance of getting involved in the community. My other interests include traveling, photography, gardening and coaching baseball.
