Occupational Medicine - Certified Independent Medical Examiner
My philosophy of patient care is to listen well, be thorough, and to explain in plain English what’s wrong and how to fix it. I try to involve patients in the decision-making process regarding their treatment options.I went into medicine so I could help people every day, and I enjoy mental challenges. I want to use the gifts God has given me to help others. My special areas of interest as an occupational medicine specialist are tendonitis, shoulder/arm/hand conditions, back and neck pain, fitness for duty (work) evaluations, federally regulated exams such as DOT exams, respirator user evaluations, asbestos exams and causation assessments.Patients can maximize their office visit by bringing any relevant medical records, job descriptions or other job-related information such as Material Safety Data Sheets, and also by asking questions and following my treatment recommendations.Outside of my medical practice I enjoy spending time with my two children, participating in physical fitness activities, camping, biking, photography, singing, playing piano, gardening, arts and crafts and tap dancing.
