As a board-certified gastroenterologist, I like to provide my patients with an understanding of their health condition(s) and concern(s) as a way of helping them cope with their illness. Lifestyle issues, diet and medication are all a part of the treatment plan I prescribe for my patients.I chose to study medicine because it provided me the wonderful opportunity to help others while applying much of the science background I acquired during college. Digestive health has always been an interesting area and it relates to the social aspects of food and eating. My goal is to stay at the forefront in the field of gastroenterology. Prevea Gastroenterology has delivered new and innovative technologies to the Green Bay area for many years. These include capsule endoscopy (the first in Wisconsin), wireless esophageal pH probe, endoscopic ultrasound and variceal banding technique. In addition, the group hosts an annual gastrointestinal conference for health care providers, bringing new updates in gastroenterology to patients in Northeast Wisconsin. I am an avid bicyclist and often ride on country roads in the area. When you pass me in your car, I will often wave hello to you! Also, I play tennis regularly and attempt downhill skiing. In the summer our family enjoys hiking. Finally, I am fluent in the German language, which is helpful to our German-speaking patients and their families.
