I chose to become a family physician because I enjoy taking care of individuals of all ages. During my training I came to realize that there are many things that we as individuals can do to take better care of our lives. Sports medicine has helped me to help those individuals who are trying to live an active, healthy lifestyle. My philosophy of care is to treat each patient as an individual. I take into account a person’s mind, body, beliefs, social circumstances and past experiences, and I use that information to provide better care.I emphasize a team approach between the patient and physician. My goal is to educate patients about their medical conditions and the available treatment options, and to encourage them to be active members in their health care decisions. I want people to make healthy choices and to take control of their own health in order to experience life to its fullest.Being a graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School, my wife Karen--a Green Bay native--and I are excited to move back to the area where we will be closer to our families and friends. We currently have two daughters and a yellow lab. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends. I also enjoy watching and interacting with athletes of all ages and skill levels.
