Breast Health Education
I started my nursing career approximately 11 years ago in Traverse City, Michigan. I spent 4 years in a Medical Surgical unit. Being fresh out of school, this gave me some very valuable experience. I then moved to Madison, at which time I started out at the University of Wisconsin Hopsital in Medical Surgery again. From there, I quickly moved into an outpatient surgical department treating skin cancer. It was during this time that I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. I have been with Prevea for the past 5 years in the Breast Health Department and have been able to continue my passion of teaching. I love the one-on-one attention I can give my patients and enjoy being a resource for them when they are notified of abnormal mammogram results. I can be there to help reassure them as well as help walk them through the process. My outside interests include anything having to do with the outdoors and spending time with my family, friends, and pets.
