“Prevea” is taken from a combination of the words prevention and panacea, which means “a remedy for all illnesses.” It was the name given to our health care organization in 1996, when physicians from the West Side, Webster and Beaumont clinics partnered with HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Since then, Prevea Health has grown to be the largest, physician-owned multi-specialty group in the state of Wisconsin.
