COVID-19 and Respiratory Guidance

Each year, respiratory viruses are responsible for millions of illnesses and thousands of hospitalizations and deaths in the United States. In addition to the virus that causes COVID-19, there are many other types of respiratory viruses, including flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). The good news is there are actions you can take to help protect yourself and others from health risks caused by respiratory viruses.

Masking

Your health and safety are important to us, and if you would like to wear a mask, please do so. In addition, if you would prefer members of your care team mask, please let the check-in desk know.

While Prevea Health doesn't require masking within our health centers, please mask if you have a cough or any respiratory symptoms to help protect the health of those around you.

Testing

Prevea offers PCR COVID-19 testing, which is billed to insurance, at select locations statewide. Appointments for COVID-19 testing can be made through MyPrevea. Additionally, test results will only be available in MyPrevea.

COVID-19 vaccinations

Prevea Health is offering updated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to all those currently eligible for vaccination as determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. You do not have to be a Prevea patient to receive COVID-19 vaccination through Prevea Health.

We strongly encourage patients and community members to confirm insurance coverage for COVID-19 vaccination prior to scheduling appointments. If you do not have insurance coverage, please visit www.vaccines.gov to review available low/no-cost options.

To schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, visit: www.myprevea.com

The CDC’s 2024 Immunization Schedules are now available and effective immediately.

Reminder: the schedules summarize final recommendations that were previously adopted and made official by the CDC director.

COVID-19 vaccination record card

If you lose your COVID-19 vaccination record card, we are unable to issue a replacement card. However, there are still ways that you are able to provide documentation that you have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Pre-Travel Testing

Prevea Health now offers pre-travel COVID-19 antigen testing prior to travel. Results will be received on your MyPrevea account within 24 hours.

Schedule your COVID-19 test

In order to stop the spread, Prevea is holding community COVID-19 testing locations. You do not need to be a Prevea patient to receive a COVID-19 test from us. If you or someone you know needs a COVID test, schedule your appointment through MyPrevea.
