Turkey Spaghetti Sauce



  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 2 6-oz cans tomato paste
  • 2 16-oz cans whole tomatoes,
  • no salt added
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsps oregano leaves
  • 2 tsps basil leaves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground sage
  • 2 4-oz cans sliced mushrooms, drained


In a 4-quart casserole, combine crumbled ground turkey and onion. Microwave on high for 4-6 minutes or until turkey is cooked. Stir after 2 minutes. Drain fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce power to medium. Microwave 15-20 minutes, or until sauce thickens and flavors blend. Stir 2-3 times during cooking time.
