Discover a healthier you in as little as 10 weeks

Have you ever been told you have high cholesterol, are at risk for developing diabetes or are at risk of metabolic syndrome? Then this program might be right for you to help manage your health.

Healthier U is a 10-week program that teaches participants how to manage their health through education, exercise, diet modification and simple lifestyle changes.
Tuesdays and Thursdays
July 18 to Sept. 21, 2017

Western Racquet & Fitness Club

  • Prevea health educators lead weekly health and wellness classes providing you with the tools needed to improve your health.
  • A registered dietitian monitors your food activity journals and teaches you healthy shopping and eating tips.
  • Personal trainers and fitness instructors work with you on the techniques and fundamentals of proper exercise.
  • Behavioral care specialists discuss topics related to stress and eating along with the emotional responses to eating.
  • Free membership to Western Racquet & Fitness Club during the 10-week program.

*After you register, Prevea will call you within two business days between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to discuss the program and your medical history.
To be eligible for Healthier U, individuals must have two or more of the following risk factors:
  • Waist circumference greater than 40 inches for men or greater than 35 inches for women
  • Body Mass Index greater than 25
  • Blood pressure greater than 130/85
  • Fasting blood sugar greater than 100
  • HDL less than 40 in men or less than 50 in women
  • Total cholesterol greater than 240
  • Been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
To determine if you qualify, lab work is required from your health care provider or a previous health risk assessment completed by April 19, 2017 or later. If you do not have access to this, a complementary screening will be scheduled prior to the program start date.
