Green BayPrevea Training Runs are back in 2018 to get participants ready for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon on May 20. Prevea Health is proud to be the official health partner of the 2018 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon and is committed to helping participants of all fitness levels achieve success.
The first training run of the free, 18-week program will take place Saturday, Jan. 13 and continue every Saturday through May 12. Participants will meet at 7 a.m. at Titletown Brewing Company Tap Room, 320 N. Broadway in Green Bay, for announcements and a group warm-up before the training run begins. Weekly routes vary in distance to accommodate runners’ training for the half or full marathon.
Prevea Training Runs are part of a specialized program calculated to get you to the finish line,” said Mike LaMere, Prevea Training Runs Director. “We gradually increase the mileage throughout the program to help runners build the necessary physical and mental endurance they will need to complete their half or full marathon.”
Free water and Gatorade will be available along the course each week starting Feb. 3, and free injury screenings from Prevea Sports Medicine experts will also be available after each run.
