Eau Claire – On July 1, 2017, the UW Health clinics in Eau Claire and Augusta made the official transition to become Prevea Health. The clinic in Eau Claire is now called Prevea Health Family Medicine, located at 617 W. Clairemont Ave., and the clinic in Augusta is now called Prevea Augusta Health Center, located at 207 W. Lincoln St. This followed a collaborative effort between Prevea, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, the Medical College of Wisconsin and HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital to keep the Eau Claire Family Medicine Residency Program in Western Wisconsin.
To help communities and the local media become more familiar with Prevea Health and the residency program, Prevea is hosting open houses and ribbon-cutting events at both sites on Tuesday, July 25. Attendees can:
  • Meet the doctors and staff
  • Learn about Prevea Health
  • Learn about the residency program and its 40-year history
  • Enjoy free refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and giveaways
  • Enter for a chance to win an autographed cookbook by Randall Cobb
