Eau Claire, Wis. – Six new physicians have joined the Prevea Health Family Medicine Residency program in Eau Claire and Augusta.

These physicians have finished medical school and are ready to participate in specialized family medicine training for three years. They work under the supervision of experienced faculty physicians and community preceptors to provide direct medical care to patients.
 
Incoming Resident Physicians:
  • Nicole Schmitz, DO, is from Loyal, Wis. She graduated from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Whitney Keiffer-Sharp, DO, is from Lake City, Wash. She graduated from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Courtney Lynn, DO, is from Olympia, Wash. She graduated from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Fallon Peplinski, DO, is from Appleton, Wis. She graduated from Liberty University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Tyler Weyer, MD, is from Baldwin, Wis. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
  • Justin Sporleder, MD, is from Oak Creek, Wis. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
 
Dr. Joan Hamblin, Prevea Health Family Medicine Residency Program Director says she’s excited to welcome the 45th class of residents to the program.
 
“They, like each class before them, will bring new ideas to improve medical care for our patients now and in the future,” she says. “Through the residency training program, Prevea will continue providing highly skilled family physicians to meet the needs of our communities for the future.”
