I chose to pursue a career in health care after our oldest daughter was born with Angelman Syndrome. I wanted to be a strong patient advocate, make a difference and empower those in need while upholding respect and empathy. My nursing background in the Emergency Department has allowed me to establish a broad, valuable knowledge base. These experiences in life and have helped me understand the true meaning of nursing; compassion and selflessness.

I strive to provide individualized, patient centered health care that embraces the holistic approach to include the physical, spiritual, social, environmental and economic factors that surround the patient. I believe it is important to establish trust by actively listening and having open communication, while helping patients become strong advocates for their health. It is important to integrate up-to-date, evidence based medicine into practice that should be reflected in preventive health promotion, teaching, and collaborative goal setting between providers and patients.

Patients can expect that I will be an honest, non-judgmental partner in their health care.  I believe that everybody has their own unique needs and by providing individualized care, including proper education, they can achieve greater health and wellness.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, gardening, relaxing at our cabin and searching antique stores. I also volunteer as a 'buddy' for the Miracle League of Green Bay."
