Green Bay Athletics

Prevea sports medicine and strength & conditioning services
UW Green Bay Athletics logoGreen Bay Athletics sports medicine, in partnership with Prevea Health, provides athletic care for all Green Bay Athletics' intercollegiate teams through the expertise of nationally certified and Wisconsin licensed athletic trainers and strength & conditioning coaches. Our mission is to provide patient-centered care to the Green Bay student-athletes through compassion, communication, prevention and effective treatment management.

Athletic training
The athletic trainers strive to set the standard while providing optimal athletic health care to not only keep our student-athletes competing, but also provide an expedited and safe return in the event they become injured.

Our athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in areas of athletic injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as have extensive knowledge in environmental safety and emergency injury care and procedures. As part of a complete health care team, our athletic trainers work under the direction of a licensed physician and in cooperation with other health care professionals, athletic administrators, coaches and parents. For more information on athletic trainers and the profession of athletic training, please visit www.nata.org.

Strength & conditioning
Green Bay student-athletes have services year-round in their pursuit of their peak performance with our strength and conditioning services. Highly-structured, disciplined plans are in place to suit all Green Bay student-athletes.

The coaches and athletes utilize the facilities at the $33 million Kress Events Center, which opened in 2007. Green Bay student-athletes train in the Kress Center's 14,000 square foot weight room, which includes new, state-of-the-art equipment. During the off-season, teams participate in agility training and weight programs designed specifically for each sport.

The goal of Green Bay's strength and conditioning program is to enhance overall athletics performance through strength, cardiovascular, speed, power and flexibility development.

Prevea Sports Medicine experts are passionate about helping athletes stay healthy, and if an injury occurs, getting them back to playing as safely and quickly as possible.

VIEW MY FULL BIO
Born and raised in Oconto Falls, I am committed to bettering the health of my community. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the medical condition. It is important for patients to know they will be treated with respect and be part of all care decisions. Together we will talk about and tackle any health concerns in order to choose the best treatment option.

My husband and I are both graduates of Oconto Falls High School and are excited to be back in northeast Wisconsin. I support and volunteer for the Panther Area Wrestling Club. In my free time, I enjoy many outdoors activities including hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, canoeing and disc golfing."
