In order to protect our communities and our health care workers from inadvertent exposure to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we are making regular changes in order to  stay up-to-date on the rapidly changing situation and recommendations from the Center of Disease Control, United States Surgeon General and others.

We can’t stress enough how important your health is to us. There is a lot of information circulating about (COVID-19), and it’s important for you to have access to accurate information and as well as resources for your overall health and wellness. What is COVID-19?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is responding to a pandemic of respiratory disease from person to person caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. The disease has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”).

Watch for symptoms
People with COVID-19 have experienced a wide range of symptoms –ranging from mild to severe. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Muscle pain
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat

What is the cost for COVID-19 testing?
Pursuant to Section 4202 of the CARES Act, cash prices for COVID-19 diagnostic tests are as follows: 
  • 87635 Infectious agent detection by nucleic acid (DNA or RNA); severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (Coronavirus disease [COVID-19]), amplified probe technique  $120.75
  • 86769 — Antibody; severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (Coronavirus disease [COVID-19])  $54.50
  • U0001 CDC testing laboratories to test patients for SARS-CoV-2   $50.25
  • U0002 non-CDC laboratory tests for SARS-CoV-2/2019-nCoV (COVID-19)  $71.75

Preventative actions to reduce the spread:
  • Masking
  • Handwashing
    • You can help yourself and your loved ones stay healthy by washing your hands often.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that containers at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Physical distancing
    • Maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and another person.
    • Limit trips to public places like grocery stores or gas stations.
