What are symptoms of COVID-19?

People with COVID-19 have experienced a wide range of symptoms –ranging from mild to severe. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Who can receive free COVID-19 testing?

Prevea Health offers free COVID-19 testing to individuals experiencing one or more of the following symptoms: Cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and/or new loss of taste or smell. We also provide testing to those exposed to another person diagnosed with COVID-19 and those who have been in close contact with a person who is currently being quarantined for suspected COVID-19.

Where is free COVID-19 testing offered?

At select Prevea Health locations in Green Bay, De Pere, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Oconto Falls, Shawano, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and Rice Lake. You will receive instructions on where to go as you select the location you would like to have your test performed.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, and by logging on to this site, you are now in the right place! Simply sign in to your existing account (or click Sign Up Now to create an account). Then, click "COVID-19 Test" and follow the prompts.

How is the test performed?

COVID-19 testing is quick and painless. One of our clinicians will briefly swab the inside of each of your nostrils. The swabbing is very minimally invasive. (Previously, testing required a nasopharyngeal swab, deep inside the cavity between the nose and the mouth. This is no longer needed to perform accurate testing).

How long do results take?

Results are provided within 2 to 7 days. In most cases, results are provided within 48 hours. If your test is negative, your result will be provided on your account. If it is positive, we will call you.

What is the cost for COVID-19 testing?

Pursuant to Section 4202 of the CARES Act, cash prices for COVID-19 diagnostic tests are as follows:
