Breakthroughs & breaking news from the medical experts at Prevea Health
Wisconsin – Prevea Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Helgeson as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Jason has been a part of the Prevea family for more than 20 years, first as a licensed athletic trainer and then serving in various leadership roles in departments such as orthopedics and neurology. He most recently served as Vice President of Operations, helping to oversee the completion of many major developments including the Prevea Regional Orthopedic Center at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, and the new Prevea St. Mary’s Health Center in Green Bay.

“Jason is also taking the lead on the development of a new ambulatory surgery center, the first in Prevea’s history which is set to open on Green Bay’s west side later this spring,” said Dr. Ashok Rai, President and CEO at Prevea Health. “He has shown great leadership on this project, and many others including our vast, community COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts. We are pleased to welcome him to his new leadership role at Prevea.”

As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jason will continue to focus on leadership development, and implementing strategic plans related to how and where Prevea Health can continue to grow and make a positive impact on its patients and communities.

“I care deeply about Prevea Health and am committed to the success of this organization and the amazing people I work with each day,” said Jason. “My goal is to be consistent, transparent, and authentic in an effort to remove any barriers that may prevent Prevea from being the best place to give care and the best place to get care.”

Jason replaces former Chief Operation Officer of Prevea, Brian Charlier, who continues to serve as Senior Vice President of Prevea Health and CEO of two of Prevea Health’s hospital partners: HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
