VIEW MY FULL BIO
I began my health care career as a family nurse practitioner because I wanted a wide range of experience. My current position with Prevea Sleep & Respiratory Care allows me to focus on my special interest in pulmonary (lung) care, as well as sleep disorders. I believe that the knowledge and experience gained through working in family practice has been invaluable to me in my current specialty setting.
My role in providing patient education is extremely important. Developing a relationship with patients and providing them with the information they need to understand and participate in their health care results in high patient satisfaction and positive outcomes.
Patients can make the most of their appointment by being on time and being prepared. The appointment is valuable time and I want to give as much time as is needed to accomplish the goals of the visit. Patients should come prepared with questions, written down if necessary. Bring a list of current medications or the medications themselves. Fill out questionnaires and history forms as completely and as accurately as possible.
I am married and have two daughters. I enjoy outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. My family has a summer cottage in Upper Michigan where we spend most weekends during the warmer months. I also enjoy building, home repair and woodworking.
