Who are HSHS and Prevea Health?
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is a Catholic health care system based in Springfield, Ill. with 13 total hospitals in Wisconsin and Illinois. In Northeast Wisconsin, this includes HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay; HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.
Prevea Health is a doctor-led multispecialty health care provider with more than 100 locations throughout Wisconsin in clinic and HSHS hospital settings. It provides primary care and more than 60 types of specialty medical care.
Prevea was founded in Green Bay, Wis. in 1996 in partnership with HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay.

Since 1996, Prevea Health’s partnership with HSHS has expanded to include all HSHS hospitals across Eastern Wisconsin.
Prevea does not operate hospitals; however, its partnership with HSHS, in part, allows for Prevea doctors, surgeons and other specialists to provide care that is needed in a hospital-based setting, such as surgery, within the HSHS hospitals. The partnership
pairs the expertise of Prevea physicians and other medical specialists with the state-of-the-art technologies, services, and medical experts in HSHS hospital settings.
Prevea and HSHS also share an electronic medical record, which allows for Prevea patients to receive seamless, coordinated care no matter what setting they are in – whether it be a Prevea health center location or at one of the HSHS hospitals.
Libertas treatment center
Prevea partners with Libertas treatment center in Green Bay and Marinette. Our multidisciplinary team offers the broadest continuum of treatment services offering recovery from drugs, alcohol and substance abuse for adults and adolescents.
Insurance partners
We understand that selecting the right health plan is important. Prevea 360 Health Plan and other insurance partners provide coverage for providers and services at our Prevea health centers and our partner hospitals.
