Prevea surgery for women
If you’re thinking about surgery, Prevea Women’s Care has options for a quick recovery. After all, we know you’re busy. That’s why we offer less invasive surgery methods, so you can recover fast after surgery with less pain and less scarring, so you can return to your normal activities sooner.
Prevea’s minimally invasive surgery options for women, related to the female reproductive system, include laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Some of these surgical procedures are performed in the office setting, while others are performed at our partner hospitals HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. These minimally invasive procedures allow some patients to return home the day of surgery, while others spend only one night in the hospital. Women can generally resume normal activities in about two weeks or less.
A small telescope-like instrument called a laparoscope is inserted through a small incision or incisions. The laparoscope then transmits internal images to a video screen where surgeons watch their work.
Using the da Vinci Surgical System, patients receive the highest quality of care with robotic-assisted surgery. Click here to learn more.
