Green Bay – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome two new physicians now caring for patients in Green Bay: Brandon Sauer, MD and Vikas Khullar, MD.

As a general surgeon, Dr. Sauer provides a variety of surgical services including robotic and minimally invasive surgery, hernia repair, surgical treatment for acid reflux, and abdominal wall reconstruction. He sees patients at Prevea St. Mary’s Health Center, 1860 Shawano Ave in Green Bay and performs surgery at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, and the Prevea Surgery Center.

“I believe taking a team-based approach, with a focus on individualized and patient centered care, leads to the best possible outcomes for every patient,” says Dr. Sauer. “During appointments I take the time to educate patients about their disease process and strive to clearly set out our goals together. This helps to get everyone working as a team with the patient’s best interest in mind."

Dr. Sauer earned his medical degree from Central Michigan University, completed residency at Southern Illinois University and is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Khullar is a gastroenterologist specializing in colonoscopies, endoscopies, colon cancer screenings, and treatment of conditions including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease and Barrett’s esophagus. He sees patients and performs surgery at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay.

“As a physician, I educate my patients on the disease process and discuss the possible options for treatment. I often draw pictures of the digestive tract to help explain the issue and how we are going to treat it,” says Dr. Khullar. “After an appointment, I want my patients to understand the "why" behind our approach to managing their disease and treatment. My patients should feel like they are heard, have had all their questions answered, and understand that we are going work together to find a solution.”

Dr. Khullar graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed residency and fellowship at the University of Florida. He is certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Appointments with Drs. Sauer and Khullar can be made by calling (920) 496-4700 or online at: www.prevea.com
