I chose nursing as my profession because of the unique interpersonal relationships and bonds formed with people, and the ability to be a teacher, advocate and resource. Taking an active responsibility in health care situations, empowering individuals to be active in their own wellness and health care decisions, and making a difference in today's dynamic health care environment are opportunities that cannot be found in many other professions.
