Although discussing symptoms such as memory changes, language problems, depression, or behavioral concerns may make some patients feel vulnerable, I aim for every patient to feel comfortable, safe and hopeful when discussing their concerns. I am genuine with my patients and their families, striving to meet each patient where they are at when they come in for their appointment.

I aim to provide clear, evidence-based information and actionable recommendations based on each patient's concerns, background and test results. I especially enjoy discussing evidence-based strategies for healthy brain aging and prevention of cognitive decline with patients and families while talking about and troubleshooting ways they can integrate recommendations and brain health strategies in day-to-day life.

My patients can expect to spend a few hours at a neuropsychology appointment. This is because I will integrate information from many facets of their history, including cognitive concerns, medical problems, mood, sleep and educational history.

To begin the appointment, I meet with each patient and any family or support people they bring with them to review their concerns, symptoms and history. They will then work with a psychometrist, who specializes in the administration of the neuropsychological tests, to complete tests I select based on their reported symptoms and their background. Then, typically at a separate appointment, I will meet with my patient to review the test results, any relevant diagnoses and my recommendations for their next steps.

My goal is for patients to leave their appointments with clear, evidence-based and actionable recommendations that can be implemented in their daily life to promote their brain health."
