Find Your Care

Prevea's audiology team provides comprehensive care to overcome the challenges of hearing loss.

Prevea audiology for hearing and balance

Hearing evaluations, rehab and hearing devices
Understanding hearing loss goes beyond hearing tests and fitting hearing aids.

At Prevea, we understand how your hearing relates to your health and wellbeing. Our capabilities expand beyond hearing aids. Prevea Audiologists are hearing experts who have years of clinical training to help prevent, diagnose and treat hearing and balance disorders. From hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings to treating dizziness and tinnitus, our team can help you or a loved one overcome the challenges of auditory disorders.

We help kids too. While we often associate hearing loss with aging adults, kids can experience hearing loss as well. Prevea audiologists across Wisconsin can work with families to test and diagnose hearing loss in children and coordinate care for factors related to growth, development and education as it relates to hearing loss. This includes a dedicated pediatric audiologist in Green Bay.

Hearing aid products and assistive devices: Our audiologists order, fit and service traditional hearing aids, but we also work with specialized devices such as bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA), cochlear implants and an array of custom hearing protection.

We offer a variety of products, including:

  • Musician ear plugs and in-ear monitors.
  • Swim plugs and swim bands.
  • Ear molds for personal electronic devices such as cell phones, MP3 players and telecommunications.
  • Hearing aid supplies such as batteries, dry-aid kits, ear mold tubing and wax filters.
  • Assistive listening and alerting devices such as television amplifiers, amplified telephones, FM systems and Bluetooth technology.
  • Custom hearing protection for industrial workers, hunters, concert-goers and others exposed to loud noises

Cochlear implants for severe hearing loss

Our dedicated audiologists are trained in cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, current implant technology, mapping and rehabilitation. And, Prevea Health is the only health system in northeastern Wisconsin to offer surgical implantation. Surgeries are performed in Green Bay.

Collaboration with ENT specialists

We work closely with otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat specialists) and assist in the comprehensive evaluation of many disorders such as dizziness, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and ear infections.

Key services

Comprehensive hearing evaluations

A comprehensive hearing test indicates your level of hearing loss, but also provides the framework for your audiologist to support your hearing needs. There are a variety of tests used in a hearing assessment, but they are non-intrusive and not painful.

Hearing aids

Hearing aids maximize your hearing ability to improve speech understanding and listening-in noise. Deciding which hearing aid is right for you is a complex and personal decision. They come in a variety of styles, sizes and technology levels.

Bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA)

These hearing aids are a medical treatment option for people with single-sided deafness, conductive hearing loss or mixed hearing loss. There are different types and manufacturers, each offering features to meet the needs of various lifestyles.

Custom hearing protection

Hearing protection is recommended for those exposed to noises 85dB or higher. Custom hearing protection devices are individually molded to each ear and provide a consistent seal to control incoming sound. They are also more comfortable than generic ear plugs.

Tinnitus assessment

Tinnitus is the ringing, buzzing, humming or roaring sounds a person hears when no outside sound is present. It is not a disease, but can be a sign something is wrong in the auditory system. An evaluation by an audiologist is the first place to start.

Real-ear verification of hearing aids

Hearing aid verification ensures your hearing aids provide you with the best possible hearing and quality of life. The gold standard for hearing aid verification is the use of real-ear measurements. This is done with new or previously fit hearing aids.
