What are Internal Medicine physicians and providers?

Sometimes called internists, internal medicine providers include physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who provide primary care and specialize in senior wellness. Serving as your main contact to help manage your long-term health and navigate the health care system and your medical needs change, internal medicine providers are trained to treat the whole person — each organ and every disease. They are skilled in geriatric care – diagnosing and solving health problems, managing complex medical disorders and preventing diseases so you can continue to live well.

Specialized care for nursing home patients

Prevea has a team of physicians and nurse practitioners, called Skilled Nursing Facility Specialists, who focus on caring for patients in nursing homes. They are available at nursing facilities to collaborate with your primary care physician or provider and oversee your medical care from the moment you are admitted until the time you are released.
