Prevea welcomes Dr. Ahmed Elakkad to HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Comprehensive Stroke Center care team

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Prevea Health is proud to welcome Ahmed Elakkad, MD, to the nationally recognized Comprehensive Stroke Center care team, located at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, 835 S Van Buren St., in Green Bay.

Dr. Elakkad specializes in non-invasive care for strokes and brain aneurysms, as well as treatment for spinal fluid pressure conditions. He also provides treatment for pediatric malformations of the blood or lymph vessels, occurring in the head or neck.

“Inspired by a family member’s experience, I developed a special interest in the care of stroke patients, recognizing the critical difference effective triage can make,” says Dr. Elakkad. “My passion is patient advocacy, and I strive to ensure my patients get the best care.”

Dr. Elakkad earned his medical degree from Cairo University in Egypt and completed his residency with The Diagnostic Radiology Department at Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine. He is certified with the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
