With an active lifestyle, I've always wondered how the body manages illness and stress. I was fortunate to attend an osteopathic medical school which taught me not only about medicine but also how the twists and turns of the body can contribute or cause dysfunction. I did an extra teaching year while in medical school, which helped hone my ability to teach others and allowed me to practice more osteopathic principles with osteopathic manual medicine (OMM). I hope to help my patient population remain active by adopting a whole body approach to the plan of care, whether I care for you in the outpatient setting, for a procedure or at the inpatient rehabilitation hospital. My philosophy of care is to establish patent centered goals to guide appropriate plan of care while also thinking outside the box for what other modalities may benefit the patient, such as Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT).
Patients can expect a thorough history of present illness followed by specific questions and physical examination to determine appropriate treatment options. I strive to be someone who looks at the whole patient and helps them to develop a realistic timeline for goals.
On a personal note, I am married and have a son and a daughter, as well as a one-eyed Siberian Husky. In my free time, I enjoy biking, games, spending time outdoors with my family, hunting and fishing.
