I have known I wanted to work in healthcare since was 12. Life has drawn me to my current role which has been supplemented with my education as a paramedic and time as a nurse in the emergency department. My philosophy of patient care is grounded in treating the whole person with compassion, respect and clinical excellence. I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, valued and cared for as an individual, not simply treated for a diagnosis or injury. I strive to create a trusting relationship with patients and their families by listening to their concerns, communicating openly and involving them in decisions about their care.
My experiences in emergency, trauma, acute care and nursing leadership have taught me the importance of remaining calm, adaptable and patient-centered, particularly during vulnerable and stressful moments. I believe excellent care combines evidence-based clinical practice with empathy, advocacy and recognition of each patient's unique circumstances and goals. As a nurse practitioner, my goal is to provide safe, comprehensive care while empowering patients through education and shared decision-making. Ultimately, I want every patient to feel that they were not only cared for, but genuinely cared about.
In my free time you will find me curled up with a book, whipping up something good in the kitchen or golfing.
