My journey as a first-generation immigrant has deeply shaped my perspective as a physician, teaching me resilience balanced with empathy, and moreover has helped me understand the challenges people face adapting to a new healthcare system. My time in Coast Guard helped me develop my communication skills and strengthened my discipline, teamwork and task prioritization. All these experiences helped me become a provider who seeks to serve my patients in a holistic way, and really understand their stories. My goal is to partner with the patients in their care, empowering them to make informed decisions and support them through all stages of care. I find fulfillment in serving and being the guide on this journey. In my free time, I enjoy cooking. With my international background and U.S. experiences, I love exploring global cuisine. Since childhood, it’s how I’ve travelled the world from my kitchen, one dish at a time.
