My “Why” is to improve metabolic health especially in individuals especially with diabetes.  Metabolic health focuses on healthy lifestyle choices as nutrition, sleep, stress, community, life purpose, and for some - food cravings. Nutrition is real food – food locally grown, high in nutrients as vitamins/minerals, and unprocessed. No one size diet fits all.  Each person is an individual – different health conditions, different genetics, different preferences, and different area on his/her health journey.

Individuals with type 2 diabetes need to be informed of the possibility of diabetes remission. Type 2 diabetes remission includes treatment with Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction along with focusing on healthy lifestyle choices.  Healthy lifestyle changes including eating less carbohydrates are very powerful in lowering sugars and improving health which requires close medical supervision to have medications safely adjusted."
