An Update on Prevea’s Western Wisconsin Operation
  • Recognize that hurting is normal. Running is hard on the body so some aches and pains are normal.

  • Know when to call the doctor to be assessed. If something hurts or just doesn’t feel right, you can stop by the Prevea Sports Medicine table at the Prevea Training Runs for a FREE injury screening. It’s best to address issues immediately so you can have any enjoyable and safe training experience

  • If it is not anything serious, make a plan to take a small break (skip one run) or modify your run (shorten your distance or use a run/walk plan).

  • Treat yourself to a massage.

  • Use your non-training days for yoga, deep breathing or meditation.

  • Find support: vent about the pain and the difficulty training provides and get support and feedback.
