A structured approach geared to support substantial weight loss

Weight loss is not the answer to every health problem. However, if your doctor has recommended weight loss, we are here to assist you with safely losing weight through an educational, nutritional and physical activity approach. 

Studies show that losing just 5 to 10 percent of your body weight can positively:

If your BMI is greater than 30, Prevea’s Medical Weight Loss program is a practical, healthy and safe way to lose weight. It is all about eating healthy foods: lean meats, lots of fruits and vegetables, lower carbs, and only fats that are healthy, such as avocados, olive oil and nuts. Since each person's weight loss goal is unique, patients will follow a structured nutrition plan based on individualized macronutrient needs. 

Prevea’s Medical Weight Loss program provides one-on-one counseling and education with ongoing support for weight loss through maintenance. Patients are seen for 12 follow up sessions with our health and wellness specialist to monitor their progress. 

A health and wellness specialist is a trained wellness professional who collaborates with clients to identify SMART goals, determine health or lifestyle changes and establish a plan for follow-up to achieve maximum results. 

Our registered nurse will coordinate care with your primary care provider and other specialists for a well-rounded care plan and ensure all aspects of your health are considered prior to and during your weight loss journey.

  • Food lists that break down options for you to incorporate into your everyday life.

Sessions 

During your initial, free 30-minute informational session, you will collaborate with a health and wellness specialist to discuss what you want to change, set measurable goals that are driven by you and establish consistent follow-up coaching for maximum results. 

After a clinical review, if approved for Medical Weight Loss, you will receive a call to schedule your first appointment. This is a 60-minute health review with a registered nurse for $99 and includes a medical/health history review, blood work (lipid and glucose) and a Fit3D body scan.* 

You will then be part of the Medical Weight Loss path which includes twelve 30-minute sessions with your health and wellness specialist for a total of $420.
