Sheboygan – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome, Megan Hetzner, CNM, APNP, certified nurse-midwife now caring for patients at the Prevea Sheboygan Health Center, 1411 N. Taylor Drive, and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

Megan provides routine women’s care for all ages; midwifery care; pregnancy care; labor and delivery support and care at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; postpartum care; sexual and reproductive health; health promotion and wellness counseling.

“I value the uniqueness of each of my patients and care deeply about contributing to their health, wellness and empowerment,” says Megan, who completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse-Midwifery, at Marquette University and is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. “Developing a therapeutic relationship and understanding their health goals is very important to me. Utilizing evidence-based care, I partner with each patient to create a plan to meet these goals.

Prevea now offers patients access to two certified nurse-midwives in Sheboygan, and the only practicing certified nurse-midwives in Sheboygan County!

In June, Prevea also welcomed Elizabeth Collis, CNM, APNP, CLC, to Sheboygan. In addition to providing routine women’s care at the Prevea Sheboygan Health Center, Elizabeth and Megan also manage labor and delivery care within the safety and comfort of Prevea’s partner hospital - HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital. The certified nurse-midwives work with labor and delivery clinical staff at the hospital providing hands-on care and one-on-one support during labor and delivery. They also have access to obstetricians, a high-risk pregnancy physician, and virtual NICU services in partnership with HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital in Green Bay.
