SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Prevea Health is proud to welcome Dr. James Stockton, a board certified adult psychiatrist now seeing patients at Prevea Behavioral Care in Sheboygan, 3425 Superior Ave., Sheboygan.
Dr. Stockton provides evaluation across the spectrum of mental and behavioral health concerns, in addition to medication management and therapeutic skill building.
“Concerns in the realm of mental health are complex. They are the result of many factors, including our genetics, current life situation, relationships, living situation, diet, level of physical activity, level of social activity, relationship with technology, medical problems, substance use, sleep and our life history,” shares Dr. Stockton. “Effective treatment requires first understanding as many of these factors as we can. The goal of treatment is to address the concerns that are preventing us from living a fulfilling life, and ultimately to build a life that is fulfilling. This involves tools, including medication and non-medication approaches, time and effort.”
Dr. Stockton earned his medical degree at University of Nevada, Reno. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and completed his residency in psychiatry at University of Nevada, Reno.
