Prevea’s case managers partner with employers to provide customized medical case management services for short-term disability and workers’ compensation claims. These services may also be provided onsite through the occupational health nurse.
Workers’ compensation claims
- Coordination of care to facilitate ongoing communications among the injured worker, employer, provider and workers’ compensation carrier
 - Assisting patient and employer with navigation of the health care system providing guidance to secure the right resources at the right time
 - Communicate with the employer and work comp carrier to provide updates on the progress, return to work and treatment recommendations
 - Coordinate medical care plan with the treating provider to encourage early return to work and reduction of lost time / OSHA recordability
 - Provide up-to-date medical status and return to work information
 - Coordinate work hardening, job-site evaluations and associated follow up as indicated
 - Assist in facilitation of safe return to work
 - Facilitate end of healing, PPD rating, and permanent restriction documentation if needed
 
Short-term disability
- Track all employee lost time requests and claims once coverage/eligibility is determined by employer
 - Monitor employee’s progress through collaboration with the employee and health care provider
 - Ongoing communications with employer contact and employee
 - Return to work coordination
 - Comprehensive case management utilizing lost time tracking against national disability durations
 - Assist patient with navigation of health care system providing guidance to obtain the right care at the right time
 - Coordination of fitness-for-duty evaluations as needed or upon request
