GREEN BAY, Wis. – Prevea Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Patrick McKenzie, a fellowship-trained orthopedics sports medicine surgeon.
Dr. McKenzie sees patients and performs procedures at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay as well as the Prevea Ambulatory Surgery Center. He specializes in comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care as well as arthroscopic treatment and ligament reconstruction of the knee and shoulder.
“I use the same principles with all my patients – regardless of if they are a collegiate or professional athlete, or the average person. It’s important to have the same principles when you care for all of them and that all patients are treated in the same manner with the same intensity,” says Dr. McKenzie. “The biggest thing I do with my patients is make sure they are completely educated about what is going on with their health. The communication and education of the problem go a long way in a patient’s recovery.”
Dr. McKenzie earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and fellowships in both arthroscopy and sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. McKenzie joins Prevea Orthopedics & Sports Medicine surgeons, Dr. Michael K Ryan, Dr. Padraic Obma and Dr. Jonathan Dunker. Appointments with Dr. McKenzie can be scheduled by calling (920) 272-3300.
